Dear Saint Kevin Family,

Every year when we read this gospel, I am always so moved by the way it is written. Just that last sentence alone,  “What I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

It is so simple. but direct. Our readings have helped us with this message of the last few weeks. We have read to be prepared, be ready, stay awake and now we hear the word “watch.” Our journey to Bethlehem begins today as we celebrate the First Sunday of Advent. We light out first candle together and keep our eyes fixed to the Lord as we prepare for His birth. Remember to prepare, be ready, stay awake and watch!

I want to thank the Knights of Columbus for their ministry work with the Thanksgiving Food Drive. Because of our the contributions from our PREP families, the Knights were able to donate over 2000 pounds of goods to the Holy Cross food pantry. I am so moved by the overwhelming generosity of our St. Kevin Family. Have a wonderful week!
