We are in great need of housing for the many out-of-town visitors coming for the World Meeting of Families in September. The Host a Family program we are using is one of those alternative options. Please help us promote this and find local families to open their homes to visitors as Host Families. Attached, you will find a Host a Family Flyer and the Host a Family bulletin insert. A link to a short video is also below, which shows how someone can become a Host. Any questions regarding the Host a Family program can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org http://bit.ly/HostAFamily

A Message from Fr. Moloney about Crozer Rental Contract
January 10, 2015
Dear Friends of Saint Kevin,
As you are aware for the past few months we have been understudy in the Pastoral Planning of the Archdiocese. This weekend and in the few weeks ahead a survey will be taken either in the pews or on line. I would ask that you please take this survey to have your input on our Pastoral Planning.
I also wish to announce to the parish community that Saint Kevin, with the approval of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, has entered into a contract with Crozer Keystone Health System for the rental of the first floor of our school building. The contract is set for five years. Our agreement with Crozer Keystone Health System will help us to continue our efforts to correct our financial stability of Saint Kevin and allow Saint Kevin Parish to be the vibrant parish that it has always been.
I will be speaking at all the Masses this weekend to explain more fully the Pastoral Planning and our agreement with Crozer Keystone Health System. I hope that I can have your full support in this matter.
Sincerely in Christ,
Father John C. Moloney

Pastoral Planning Update
March 1, 2015
PASTORAL PLANNING UPDATE:
The Pastoral Planning Committee would like to thank the parish for the prayers and support as we participated in the self-study process with St. Francis and Holy Cross parishes. A few weeks ago, a survey was circulated to the parish. Thank you to all who participated in the survey for your time and ideas regarding the future of the parish. The results of the survey are below. Please note that responses to questions asking for an opinion or ideas are not included to protect the privacy of the respondents.

The self-study for Pastoral Planning Area (PPA330) met on January 28, 2015.
First, the group expressed appreciation for all the people who participated in the parish surveys. The results were discussed at the meeting.
Second, the group developed a recommendation to be presented to the Archdiocese regarding the future of PPA330. It included a suggestion to revise the process and schedule for future parishes that share unique situations and goals. There was common agreement on sharing specific ministries in the future. Also, each parish agreed to provide the Archdiocese with its own plan to reduce its debt.

Father Moloney's Message
Dear Friends of Saint Kevin,
In the old city of Jerusalem, the golden Dome of the Rock dominates the ancient skyline. The gold-encrusted dome covers a Muslim mosque and a site that is sacred, not only to true believers of Islam, but to Christians and Jewish people as well. Beneath the floor of the sanctuary is a large rock. Archeologist and biblical scholars believe this the Mount, or Moriah, where Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac, which we heard about in today’s first reading. Not far from there is the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher, built over the rock of Calvary, where God sacrificed his only Son for our sins. Moriah and Calvary are joined together as unique examples of sacrificial love.
